Hedlo is a serviced private tourist cabin on the Hardangervidda. The cabin is located in Eidfjord, Vestland county; 950 meters above sea level.
Hedlo Turisthytte is located by the river Veig in Veigdalen in Hardangervidda National Park. From the cabin there are marked summer routes to Besso, Sandhaug, Bjoreidalshytta, Fossli, Vivelid and Stavali.

FACILITIES
Breakfast
Every day we serve a delicious breakfast with freshly baked bread and a wonderful selection of cold cuts.
Wifi
As one of the few cabins on the Hardangervidda, we offer internet to our guests to read news and update social media.
Outdoor area
Benches can be used by both guests and passers-by. Sit down with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view of the valley and the river.
Daily cleaning
All rooms, showers and toilets are cleaned daily. We recommend having your own sheet bag, but bed linen can be rented if needed.
Kiosk
In our kiosk you can buy snacks, drinks and provisions for the trip ahead.
The dining room
In our dining room, we serve a 3-course menu with classic Norwegian home cooking. Our homemade meatballs are always a success!

Trout fishing
Buy a fishing license and borrow equipment from us to try your luck fishing in the river or one of the beautiful fishing lakes nearby.
Hedlo
Climb the impressive hill "Hedlo" which has been used as accommodation of travelers since time immemorial. It is this cave that has given the cabin its name.
Morning bath in Veig
How about starting the day with a cold and refreshing bath in Veig and then a warm and good shower inside the cabin?
Day trip to Haraldshaugane
Just behind the cabin, the path continues up towards Haraldshaugane. Here you pass the landmark Sukkerbiten, and at the top you get a great view to Hårteigen and the mountains to the west.
Trip to Rjoto
Great child-friendly excursion along the river to Rjoto. Here you will find beautiful boulders and a fantastic landscape.
Top trip to Hårteigen
Hårteigen (1690 masl) is one of the most characteristic landmarks on the west plateau, and you reach it after about 5-6 hours walk from Hedlo.
